Most people just take their backs for granted – until they start playing up.

Most people just take their backs for granted – until they start playing up, that is. Nothing is quite as incapacitating as a severe backache. Or as painful. Backache is second only to headaches as the most common location of pain. Fortunately, there's a lot you can do to prevent and treat the problem.

The Chiropractic Association of South Africa offers the following tips: keep mobile, exercise regularly, sit up straight, maintain a healthy weight and don't sleep on your stomach.
