Q.

Chest xray

I have my chest xray on 6/11/2017. It show that a 0.7cm diamter nodular density is projected over the mid zone of my left lung.Please explain to me.thank you

No other inflammation is given, and this might be helpful.  There are a number of things that are taken into account when a nodule is seen on chest x-ray.  This will include things like the size, smoking history, how much it’s increased in size over a certain period of time, etc.  There is a long list and I will not go through all of them.  Nodules may be due to a variety of reasons including old infection, old TB, active TB, cancers, etc.  You should discuss this with your doctor and there should be a plan going forward to evaluate this nodule.  The help of a specialist might be required depending on your risk profile and history.
