Q.

Persistent flu

I have had a persistent flu for the past four months and a worsening of my asthma and postnasal drip symptoms. This is preventing me from undergoing a necessary surgical procedure to remove a small tumor from my uterus. I have taken antibiotics, including Avalon, and have had blood tests , x-rays, lung function tests, etc. and am being treated by both a pulmonologist and gynecologist.

It sounds like you are under good care.  The trick here is to take your antihistamines and nasal sprays and clear up the sinuses.  It might be that that is really the cause of the ongoing coughing and upset that you are having.
