Q.

Can salbutamol inhaler help with cough cause by too much mucus

I have had a sinus drip for well over a year, which is causing me to cough a lot as I can feel the mucus down my throat. I have seen a specialist who said I have no polyps in my throat and told me to use a netti pot. This has not worked, I have been given every nasal sprays and antibiotics from my doctor. This has not helped, I feel like I have a head cold all the time but the coughing is causing problems, it gets worse during conversations and sometimes during the night if I slip off the pillows I feel that I'm choking. In the morning it takes me ages to clear the mucus from my nose. The mucus is thick and dark yellow. Also if I bend over clear fluid drips out of my nose.

Sounds like you have a severe postnasal drip.  Salbutamol inhaler will not help this.  It is important that the nasal sprays be used every day twice per day and for at least 2 to 3 months so that you can see if they have an effect.  It is important to use an antihistamine.  There are several different types that can be used.  There are also several other treatments that may be useful for allergic rhinitis.  I suggest you see an allergy specialist or pulmonologist.
