Q.

Sharp pain in hand

I heard my left hand, overstretched my thumb, this append 3 months ago, i have a sharp pine in my hand/wrist if I use my thumb or my small finger, I cannot pick anything up or use my left hand in certain ways, to type on the PC is no problem and to open and close my hand is no pain at all but if I do certain things with my hand I have a severe sharp pain as if a nerve is pinched. What to do, I cycle every day without pain. I am 48 years old

You most likely have De Quervains tenosynovitis and you will probably feel a lot better after a cortisone injection around the thumb tendons.
