Q.

Burning pain in buttock and upper thigh.

I had a hip replacement in September 2016 and have recovered fully. Since the op i have had a burning pain on the good side of my buttocks and upper thigh. The burning feeling is mostly when i am sitting. It feels like i am sitting on the bones of my buttocks.

If it is the opposite side causing pain, it may be a trochanteric bursitis and you may respond to cortisone injection.

Please see a rheumatologist.
