Here's a big announcement! We are very pleased to welcome Adele Hamilton as the new editor of Health24 on this Spring Day. She takes over from Heather Parker who resigned recently.

Adele is no stranger to the internet and for the last three years she has been creating content and building a community at Parent24.

Prior to Parent24, Adele was a senior journalist at a number of South Africa’s leading magazines, including Reader’s Digest, Move!, Fairlady and Femina, with a special interest in health, books and entertainment.

Health24 is SA's biggest consumer health website. The job of editor is indeed a demanding one, requiring the juggling of many balls, a keen health interest, writing, editing and also managing an editorial team. We have no doubt that Adele will do all of these things excellently, and we look forward to working with her to take Health24 to new heights.

You will all get to know Adele better in the coming months by means of her weekly newsletters and we are sure that you will soon be as pleased to have her around as we are.

Hats off to Susan Erasmus, our deputy editor, who steered Health24 to achieve a new readership record of 406 000* South African unique users for August.

Welcome Adele. We wish you everything of the best. And a happy Spring Day to you all.

Regards

Dr Danie Pauw MD Health24
