Ian Wheeler (Homeopathic Pharmacist) qualified as a pharmacist at Rhodes University in 1980. Wheeler opened his first retail pharmacy in 1985 after completing his internship and national service, and has owned his own retail pharmacies ever since.
Wheeler was, however, intuitively drawn towards “natural medicine” and expanded these aspects to his pharmacies until completing a 3 year Homeopathic (classical) course with Dr. Ruth Bloch.
Wheeler was privileged to work with some wonderful Holistic healers, one of which was Dr. “Andy”, a herbalist, naturopath and clinical homeopath of 40 years, and he finally “conceived” STEPS To Health Pharmacy & Healthshop where he currently practices.
They have 12 natural practitioners of various modalities practicing out of the healthshop and fully comprehensive allopathic and homeopathic dispensaries.
Homeopathy is Wheeler's passion and he developed the PEGASUS range of Homeopathic remedies that support the PEGASUS BLUE BOX (FIRST AID KIT). In addition, he spends the majority of his time educating colleagues in retail pharmacy and healthshops about the principles of homeopathy and how to integrate this wonderful healing modality into their retail environments.
In Wheeler's own practice he incorporates natural medicine wherever possible and applicable....giving patients alternative options to their allopathic regimes where applicable.
