Q.

Is this a wine allergy?

I experienced a growing, burning sensation to my face after having a small amount of red wine. My face became very red and hot. I have just had a similar reaction after a different wine. I am fine with most red wines. I wondered if it is sulphur or Tannin or Histermin to cause this reaction

Red wine does contain many different possible vaso-dilators which cause flushing and warm sensation in the face. Unfortunately there are no readily available tests for histamine intolerance, and alcohol can cause the blood vessels to dilate giving a flushed appearance. The most practical advice is to avoid the wines that have this effect on you.
