Vitamins interfering with Concerta

My concerta doesn''t work effectively and then I did some research and apparently vit.C and also antacids inhibits the absorption of concerta.
Is this true?
Because then it will explain quite a lot because I take a 1000mg vit.c tablet in the morning normally after I have taken my concerta.

When can I take my multivitamin/vit.c so that it will not interfere AT ALL with my concerta?
Thanks so much!

Dear Michelle,

I am not a medical doctor nor a pharmacist therefore I would suggest speaking with your prescribing physician or pharmacist to confirm.

However, according to the National Alliance of Mental Illness: "The following foods should be avoided for 1 hour before and after taking an amphetamine medication: citrus fruit, citrus juices, sodas/carbonated beverages, lemonade, Gatorade, vitamins/food and food supplements containing vitamin C. These foods can decrease absorption of the medication." (

Kind regards,
