From what weight can children start taking Strattera?

Dear Denise,

The question of weight cannot adequately be answered without taking the child's age into consideration.

Very generally speaking (and there will always be exceptional circumstances), Strattera is not advisable for children below the age of 6 years, and a weight below 20kg, again, in relation to age.

Thanks Delia. My son is 6 and he is on Ritalin, the Pediatrician said that he will go over on to Strattera once his weight has picked up (he only weighs 15kg now). Why only from 20kg?
