Pleas excuse my English reply, I cannot write well in Afrikaans.
Before I make an suggestions, I just want to say that you and your husband have nothing wrong, and you are not a bad person for feeling frustrated - I guarantee all moms have a time when they wish they could have a holiday.
There are two things I would suggest:
1. Go back to the doctor who prescribed the medicine that made him better but stopped working - maybe a higher dose will help.
2. A parenting workshop can help you and your husband to work together to help change our son's behaviour. If this is something you would consider, please send me an Email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It may also be helpful to speak to his teacher at school and find out how he behaves there when he is playing, working or eating. If everything is fine at school, following their same routine may help.
Your son seems to have a lot of energy, maybe enrolling him in a sport club in your area would help to get rid of some of his energy is a beter way.
