concentration issues

i am a 29 year IT professional. my problem is i cant focus for more than 10 minutes at a time.
when i was younger i could sit and work for hours, but now i cant seem to stay focussed for any amount of time.
the problem is that i have upcoming exams and i have been trying to study for weeks without any success. i sometimes take three to four hours trying to do work that should only take me an hour.

i am quite healty and exercise daily, i am not restless of have any problems sleeping, it only seems that my concentration is lacking.

can you suggest anything that could help me, (note i have tried all the natural products like melatone syrup)

Dear Frikkie,
I am assuming that you are posting your question here because you are concerned you may have adult ADD. This is not the case: ADD is present from birth and there is no late onset category. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the symptoms you are describing can well be attributed to stress. I am glad to hear you exercise and eat well as this is definitely a large step in the right direction. I wonder if you have had a physical recently? This could be an easy way to eliminate the possibility of any unknown allergys or minerals lacking from your system.
All the best,
