Play therapy and occupational therapy can also be helpful, as well visitng a nutritionist to ensure the child's diet is limited in the preservatives and sugars which exacerbate hyperactivity. Biofeedback has also assisted some children.
AD/HD should be treated holistically, medication alone is not the recommended route. Finding the correct balance of treatments while not causing the child additonal distress can be very difficult.
