Dear Peter,

I can only begin to imagine the frustration at being told he falls within that 7% category, and I commend you on looking for an alternative rather than throwing up your hands.

Please visit www.remspeced.co.za: they have a list of remedial schools across the provinces. If you do not find one that is suitable for your area you can contact them for further assistance, alternatively, you can contact the department of education for a more in depth list.

Best wishes,
Delia
