ADHD in Classroom

My sons teacher has suggested I have him tested as he may have adhd in class but not any other time - possible?

For a diagnosis of ADHD to be made, the symptoms must be present for a minimum of 6 consecutive months and in at least two different settings. He cannot only be ADHD at school.
