Dear Caroline,

The best is to have him/her assessed by an educational psychologist, neurologist or pediatric psychiatrist who specialises in ADHD.

It will cost a fair bit, but it may also be worthwhile getting two opinions to make sure.

Kind regards,
Delia

Caroline - you need to observe his behaviour and assess his ability/inability with regard to school work, communication etc. Talk to his teachers and if they express concern you will need to take him for a professional assessment.

What makes you think your child may have ADHD?
