ADD or ADHD

How do you know if a child of 19 months is ADD or ADHD? Thanks Sue

Dear Sue,

It is not common practice to make such a diagnosis at that young age. I would suggest speaking with your pedatrician about your concerns.

It may also be helpful, if you suspect there is a chance of ADHD, to keep a record now of behaviours and tendencies to use a reference (if needed) later.
