Dear Claire,

It is very difficult to provide a yes or no answer to your question as it is dependent on the individual.

Careful monitoring of medication would be required and possibly counselling with all involved members of the family to ensure a trusting relationship is established.

I wish I could offer a more definite answer.

All the best,
Delia

Let me put it this way - I was an addict for many years because I was self medicating because of untreated and undiagnosed ADHD and Aspergers Syndrome  I wish I could have had this medication back then when I really needed it  it would have helped me avoid years of suffering and problems.
