Dear Frustrated Mum,
Doing some extra work in the areas your son battles with is a fantastic idea; I urge you to be prepared for the 'lesson' though so that he understands exactly what is expected of him. If possible, try to make it as fun as possible - there are plenty of games available on the net - rather than providing the same dry lesson he gets at school. If you have his buy in from the start he will get more out of each session.
Fortunately September is not too far away (I know it seems an eternity in this situation); let the school know you have made the appointment and to stop making comments in the meantime as there is nothing to be done until you have the results.
In terms of the Biostrath, Eye-Q, ADDvance question I cannot give you a definitive answer as each child will react differently. All of them have Omegas in them which is what aids the concentration.
Best of luck,
