Some clinicians maintain that the woman’s chances of conceiving improve if she lies on her back for up to an hour after intercourse, preferably on her back. This is obviously not advisable for women who are predisposed toward infections and who usually go to the bathroom to wash straight after lovemaking;
Orgasm appears to play a role too. The contractions that occur when the earth moves may convey sperm deeper into the cervix.
