Use an alum block or a styptic pencil to stop the gushing. Moisten the corner of an alum block or the tip of the pencil with cold water and apply it to the shaving cut for about five seconds or until the bleeding stops.

Both these products are antiseptic and they will disinfect the cut and speed up the healing process by constricting blood vessels and closing up the cut. They have a translucent colour and look a lot better than bits of toilet paper stuck all over your face. It will sting a bit, but you’re a man after all.
