A week to go until Valentine's Day and you're still without a plan. To make matters worse, you're still broke after the festive season splurge. Can you spoil your loved one without breaking the bank?

Take action:
Buy a bottle of wine, a French loaf and cheese, and take him/her to a romantic (and safe) spot for a picnic; surprise him/her with breakfast, and a beautiful card, in bed; leave a bunch of flowers on her doorstep, making sure she gets it the moment she opens the door on the 14th; drive somewhere beautiful and watch the sun set; invite your loved one for a home-cooked meal and really cook it yourself; or surprise him/her with a treasure hunt through the house, leaving small gifts (e.g. a card, a chocolate, a candle and a small bottle of sparkling wine) along the way.
