At the moment, wherever you find yourself in our country (except perhaps eternally warm Durban), it’s cold. And cold weather often leads to comfort eating – warm, sweet drinks, hearty broths and creamy soups. Sound familiar?
If this is sounding a lot like your daily eating pattern there is good news - and there is bad news. The bad news is that while those foods might temporarily warm your body and make your brain feel warm and fuzzy, they’re likely to be softening you around the edges at the same time.
And come summer you will regret your indulgences. The good news is that you can make these treats a little healthier, just check out our diet section for more tips.
The even better news is that once you’ve sorted out your diet combined it with some regular exercise, by the time summer rolls in, you'll be ready to embrace whatever skimpy fashions are in vogue. If skimpy is your style, that is.
