Weird things found in airport security

One extremely helpful use for x-ray technology is security at airports, to help ensure our safety. X-ray machines have helped prevent hazardous materials and dangerous weapons from being smuggled onto flights for decades. Though our common image of prohibited materials usual consists of guns, knives, and explosives, the wonders of x-ray technology have helped airport security find and sometimes even confiscate a wider variety of bizarre objects than you ever would have thought.

Though most of these things are far less dangerous than traditional weapons, they’re also not the kinds of things most people would be comfortable flying alongside- much less the kinds of people who would bring them aboard.
