My Spar/Hospice Wits Family Fun Walk

Families and their well-behaved furry friends are encouraged to come along to the annual My Spar/Hospice Wits Family Fun Walk happening at Zoo Lake, JHB on Sunday 6 March 2011.

Families and their well-behaved furry friends are encouraged to come along to the annual My Spar/Hospice Wits Family Fun Walk happening at Zoo Lake (Lower Park Drive), Johannesburg on Sunday 6 March 2011 at 8:00. The first 3,000 walkers to enter will receive a Spar T-shirt, cap and water bottle. There will also be Spar gift cards for the first home in each category (4km, 8km and 12km) and spot prizes of Spar gift cards on the day.

The first 250 dogs to register will receive a free 'Hill's doggie bag' containing a cute bandana and a small bag of Hill's, the pet food most recommended by vets worldwide. The family dog can be registered for free and there is a dog-friendly watering point on the route.

To enter online go to www.entrytime.com, pick up an entry form at your nearest Spar, Running Shop or call 011 844 0419 for more info. Entry fees are from R40 to and R60, depending on the distance. Pre-registration is on Saturday 5 March from 10:00 until 14:00 at Zoo Lake's Lower Park Drive entrance near the tennis courts or register from 6:00 on the day.

The 2011 My Spar/Hospice Wits Family Fun Walk aims to get 3,500 people and their pets walking in support of Hospice Wits and hopes to raise around R150, 000 in entry fees. For more information on Hospice Wits please contact 0861 hospice (4676423) or log onto www.hospicewitwatersrand.org.za.
