Planning an overseas holiday trip? Don't take a holiday from the safe use of prescription and over-the-counter medicines.

Take action:
Bring your medication schedule with you – it should include both prescription and over-the-counter drugs that you're taking at the time; have a list of the reasons for taking each medication - that way, if you have to see a doctor or go to a hospital while you're travelling, the list can help medical staff better understand your condition; keep all your medications in your carry-on bag when you travel by air; store your medication in their original labelled containers and bring more medication than you expect to use while you travel; ask your pharmacist about any conflicts between your medications and foods or beverages you might consume while travelling.
