Lighten the chemical load on your head – and on our waterways – with this safe, simple shampoo recipe: mix half a tablespoon bicarbonate of soda in half a cup warm water (double up for longer hair or a second rinse), and massage into hair. It won’t form a mass of lather like commercial shampoo, but cleans just as well. Condition and rinse as usual.
