Jimmy Nevis: I will run the Two Oceans Half Marathon

Jimmy Nevis surprises himself as he counts down the final days to his first ever Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon.


On Saturday, 4 April 2015 Jimmy Nevis will line up with 16 000 other runners to participate in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Half Marathon and he says that he almost cannot believe it.

"The Old Mutual Two Oceans started out as a joke [among friends], but here I am [a few days ahead of the race]," says Nevis.

He started exploring fitness activities a year ago but is now obsessed with any outdoor activity. "Running is more than just a hobby these days”.

In addition to making his Half Marathon debut, Nevis will also be one of the guest speakers at the #OMTOMInspiration Theatre at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) on Wednesday, 1 April 2015.

In this exclusive interview with News24Live,  the singer, songwriter and producer shares how he stays motivated when running longer distances, and yes, it involves music:
