Factors that will increase your pulse rate

There are a number of different things that can make your pulse rate increase.

There are a number of different fatcors that can increase or influence your pulse rate.

These factors include:
  • Exercise
  • a fever,
  • a big fright, or
  • stress of some sort.
  • the time of day
  • your activity level
  • your age
  • an overactive thyroid gland
  • anaemia
  • the use of stimulants
  • heart disease.

Your heart rate during exercise, as compared to you resting heart rate can be used to determine your level of fitness.
