Centrum tip - Get a life at lunchtime

You may be working hard at your desk, but you're not getting any exercise at all. Use your lunch hour to your advantage.

For most people, working fulltime means sitting behind a desk from nine to five. While you may be working hard, you are not getting any exercise at all, apart from walking to the photocopier, the kitchen and the toilet. But you can use your lunch hour to your advantage.

Take action:
Go for a brisk walk during your lunch hour, as this will increase your circulation, get some fresh air into your lungs and get your serotonin levels up; avoid the fast food temptation during lunchtime by bringing a healthy lunch from home; meet a friend for a quick and healthy lunch; go to the gym during lunchtime, if it is close by; have a neck-and-shoulder massage during lunch if it is possible – this will go a long way towards relieving tension; do a bit of quick shopping or pop into an exhibition or lunchtime concert, if these are in the vicinity.
