Work in new SA

I''m frustrated and pissed off, the manager of our branch (sales) was transferred and an affirmative guy was placed in his position 2 years, as sales managers we work on a commission basis and rely on the sales of our team, for the last 2 years we have been like a ship without a rudder more than half the productive sales people have left, which means we have lost half our income, the guy who is currently running the place doesn''t seem to care, he is almost always late, takes 2-3 hour lunch breaks, leaves early, never has any ideas on how we going to change things around, we were told they have to employ and affirmative action guy to get equity percenatges right. Now 2 years down the line it looks our branch will close, everyone is unhappy including our black sales guys, when we have brought up the issues we are facing we are told we are racist. This guy is educated but is just not interested, the powers that be are obviously to scared to do anything because it will mess up the equity numbers and they may be accused of being racist, the black sales guys say they can''t do anything because it will look bad for a black guys to agree with us, so now we all sit with the pospect of being retrenched, we seem to have no where to turn to, because of course being white and pointing out the fact that this guy is running our branch into the ground makes us racist. Why is crap like this acceptable we all have families we trying to look after, is how many black managers you have more important than the mouths that need to be fed, this week we were told " just deal with it because it''s not going to change"
I''m all for affirmative action and correcting the wrongs of the past, but is this how it''s done in the new SA, because there are many such situations out there

Surely this is about his incompetence and not his race.

Why don''t all of you and your colleagues sit down and agree that you have no confidence in him because of his lack of ability and then do a joint grievance, focusing on his incompetence.
