The window period for gonorrhea and chlamydia is 2 to 7 days after exposure. For syphillis it is 10 to 90 days and three months for genital herpes. The window period will depend on the age and health of the person being tested, as well as medication taken, like corticosteroids, which in turn can prolong the window period.
