Wifes visit to the gynie

What''s reasonable for a gynie/obstetrician to charge for a visit?

My wife just let me know that the first visit is going to be R950... is this for real?

Thanks
Jan

The prices vary a great deal and this is a common rate if a scan is included.

Hi Jan,

That sounds about right for the first visit and it definately sounds like that includes an ultrasound. Sometimes it isnt always necessary for the scan but it depends on why your wife is going to see the gynae and if there are any problems. Its worthwhile you spending that kind of money so try not to let it make you negative. You can always claim from your tax return :)
