What to do when a mistress harasses a wife

I have a friend whose husband had an affair about 10 years ago. The wife left the husband but took him back. The husband told the mistress he wasn’ t interested anymore and she became very bitter. She started harassing the wife, calling her, leaving her crude messages and rocking up at her work. The husband also told the mistress he would never leave his wife and said that if she ever found out she would leave him. SO the mistress is trying to break up the marriage but harassing the wife. What can the wife do legally?

Very easy then. Go to courts in morning, fill out forms, provide copies of proof, and in the afternoon you should have the interim interdict.

Note that it is interim, meaning the mistress will have an opportunity to appear in court on a date specified in the interim order to argue her case against the order, if she chooses to do so. If not, then the order will be in full force, no longer interim, on the specified court date.

Any transgression fo the order while it is interim or after it has been granted, could get her arrested.

Get proof of harrassment, then approach the local magistrates court for an interim interdict preventing her from any further harrassment. Quick and easy, and costs nothing.
