what to ask gynae!

Hi Doc. How can i find out if a gynae (that i' m seeing for the 1st time) is qualified and experienced enough to deal with my situation? Do i ask him / or the receptionist? is there a list on the web somewhere that i can check up on to find if he is registered or what his qualifications are? Thank you for your advise.

You could ask to see his certificate, which is usually displayed in the office, or you could phone the Health Professions council. The proper way to do things is to have your GP refer you. He/she would know if someone was qualified.

Best wishes
