Wha is correct?

Dear Doc,I would like to know if the is a difference on the effectiveness of the excercise if you run on the trackmill holding on to the handles (of the trackmill) or just running with your arms on the side

your imput will be highly appreciated

There's no difference in effectiveness, only a practical issue of how fast you can run in each position. It's difficult to run faster with the hands on the handles, but if you're uncomfortable on the treadmilll, then it might not be possible to run at all without holding. So it's really just a question of do what you can, and as long as you get the time in, you'll be getting the benefit.
