weight issues

I have an underactive thyroid and are using meds for these as well as hormonal problems iam struggling to loose weight and belly fat althoug i exercise and drink loads of water

Please use the thyroid hormone replacement therapy as prescribed by your doctor. It is also necessary to go for checkups so that the dr can make sure that your thyroid hormone levels are not too high or too low. To lose weight you need to basically change your lifestyle. Reduce your energy intake by eating an energy-reduced, low-fat, high-fibre diet (click on 'DietnFood' at the top of this page, then on 'Healthy Diets' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet) and combine the diet with your exercise which should preferably be done for 30 min a day or 60 min every 2nd day. Don't overdo your water intake. Too much of anything, even water, can be dangerous. If you drink too much water (more than 2,5 litres a day), then you may lose important minerals like potassium, sodium, magnesium and even calcium, which can cause so-called electrolyte imbalances. There have been reports of fatalities when people drink too much water, so be careful. Everything in moderation!
