Dear Jannie
If you visit www.sahealthinfo.co.za and go to 'Nutrition' you should find the nutritive values of foods eaten in SA, including the protein content per 100 g. If you weigh your portions of protein-rich foods like meat, eggs, cheese, milk, yoghurt, fish, etc then you can calculate the protein that you are ingesting.
