i keep on putting on unesassary weight!

Well, the answer lies in something in your lifestyle that has changed. Either your exercise habits have altered or your diet has. So it may be that you were active in your work, walking often, and now you are desk-bound? Or perhaps you trained and haven't for a while, because of work stress/injury? Or, your diet is different? And it doesn't take much - a small difference every day adds up pretty soon.

So that's where you need to look - detective work to identify the change, and then reverse that change.
