Hi there

There is no link, as far as I am aware anyway, between not wearing shoes and any form of infection. As long as the rest of his body is warm he should be a no additional risk of picking up flu etc.

Being susceptible to bacterial and viral infections is a function of one's immune system and a healthy immune systems is dependant on many factors including nutrition, sufficient rest, feeling 'secure', feeling happy, feeling 'loved', low stress levels etc.

Hope this helps.
