Our expert says:
I don't think that the new Vitamin Water products can be fattening because if they only contain 5.4 g of carbs per 100 ml, this would represent 86 kJ/100 ml which is a low-energy drink. If you start having litres of the product (i.e. 860 kJ/litre) then these added kJ could cause some weight gain because 860 kJ represents 13,7% of the energy intake when an adult woman is slimming. As to the vitamin and mineral contents of the products, you need to decide if you are deficient in any of the added vitamins/minerals or if you are possibly going to overload your system with these nutrients if you drink large quantities.
