Our expert says:
Serc does not cure the vertigo, it just assists you in the healing process. Positional vertigo, or BPPV, is best treated with Head manoeuvres, and the Epley manoeuvre is very effective for this problem. Your ENT could show you how it needs to be performed. As long as you realise the Serc is not the cure, it would be fine to gradually stop the use of the Serc. Some patients become afraid to move, and it the Serc allows for better rehabilitation, it is not a problem. The sooner you move on your own, the sooner your confidence will grow, thus allowing for a quick recovery.
