Please help my husband is going for an operation on his 5th vertebrae, he will be out of action for 6 weeks. When he recovers will he be able to ride his motorbike. The surgeon is going to put screws in his damanged vertebrae.

Sounds like your husband is going in for a spinal fusion. This will take some time to recovery - and much will depend upon his physical state thereafter. There are motor cycles and motor cycles - BMWs and Harleys offer a more comfortable ride - but the fibnal OK will still lie with the surgeon who operated on your husband!!
