Dear Lynton

You don’t mention why you want to use Celebrex, nor what cardiac medications you are taking, nor what cardiac condition you have! It is therefore difficult to answer your question. However, chronic use of anti-inflammatory drugs like Celebrex slightly increases the risk of heart attack, may have a negative effect on kidney function, and may aggravate heart failure. In addition anti-inflammatory drugs may interact with drugs such as warfarin, thereby causing an increased tendency to bleed. Without more information unfortunately I can’t make any comments about your particular case, but my advice would be: use Celebrex and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs only if you need them, only if they work, and as little as possible!

Kind regards, JT
