Hallo Sunshine
It can be caused by problems in the bladder ( not emptying properly, bladder stones ) in the kidney ( kidney stones, cysts) or in the urine tube ( wiping the wrong way, low esterogen, friction during sex) If you have more than 3 infections in a year, your urine must be sent to a lab for a culture and you should be referred for a proper urological evaluation by an urologist specialist
