Urgent Please? Breast Cancer or not?

Good day

Our tea lady had a mammogram a few weeks ago which showed a " spot"  (for lack of correct word) on her left breast.
Her GP said she should get a biopsy, but her appointment at Tygerberg Hospital is only for 11 March. She complained just a few minutes ago that her breast had an " dent"  in it and she is scared to death about it being breast cancer. Her sister died just after Christmas last year of breast cancer and this poor woman is desperate. What are tell tale signs that she might actually have breast cancer or can it just be a syst or milk glands that collapsed over years.

Kind regards
Sam

Hallo Sam
The more common signs include a lump, an area of thickening, or a dimple in the breast. Less common signs include breast swelling and redness or an enlarged underarm lymph node.
If the GP is worried, he should maybe try and phone the surgeon on call at Tygerberg and see if he can get an earlier appointment.
