These symptoms are usually the indication of some irritation of the nerves in the spinal column. It is very important that she consults a doctor, in order to have a x-ray and a possible CT scan of her neck and back done.

In the interim, she can consult a physio therapist, to assist her with the alleviation of the pain. She can use Ibuprofen to relief the pain and inflammation. This is only temporary and she will have to consult a doctor as soon as possible.

Ask your dr to refer her to a neurologist to investigate possible multiple sclerosis or similar disorder.. Remember that MS is not a death sentence and in fact the meds today to treat it are brilliant!
