UID Removal

Hi there
I am wanting to remove my IUD that I had fitted 3 years ago, is self removal possible or do I have to go into my Doctor.

Hi there TK, I have a copper t iud, i couldnt be on anything hormonal, it just messes me up too much, copper t has been good, just heavy and long periods, I am wanting it out as I am planning another baby.
