Two eggs at ovulation...what happens

My Gynae prescribed Fertomid last month and i more than one egg during ovulation. I' m now experiencing a light spotting...if one of the eggs is fertilised, what happens to the others that are not fertilised. Would they induce a period even if you have conceived?

Eggs which are not fertilised are absorbed by the body and do not bring on a period.
